Corrugated Packaging
Corrugated Cardboard Packaging
Corrugated cardboard packaging is standardized on the basis of the International Code for Corrugated Board Packaging. This FEFCO and ESBO code describes cardboard packaging by models and symbols. This simple system is used worldwide to describe the characteristics of all carton packaging products.
The products are divided into several families.
Wood-based cardboard with a smooth, rigid surface, available in a wide range of grammages.
Folding cartons, made from cellulose, are used for printed packaging for most everyday products.
Cardboard is also used for laminating, covered on one side with a special foil (aluminum or polyethylene). These products can be used to package food, pharmaceutical and other products.
